Yolanda Celia Lopez

Yolanda Celia Lopez, 97, was born on December 21, 1927, in Houston, Texas, and entered into eternal rest on September 14, 2025, in her beloved hometown.

Yolanda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her. A woman of deep faith, she lived as a committed Christian and shared her love for the Lord by preaching at the Harris County Women’s Prison.

With a natural sense of style, Yolanda embraced life as a true fashionista. During her 30-year career in retail, she became known for her impeccable taste and her love of always looking her best—never without her hair and nails perfectly done.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Villanueva and Eva Felan; her sons, Joe Medina and Ruben Medina; and her siblings.

Yolanda’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, Ralph Medina, David Ray Medina, and Elaine Medina; her siblings, Sunny Andrade, Delores Elizondo, and Bernice Salazar; her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; along with countless other family members and dear friends.

She will be remembered for her strength, her faith, her style, and, most of all, the love she poured into her family. Yolanda will be dearly missed, but her memory will continue to bring joy and comfort to all who were blessed to share life with her.
