Simona Jurado Renteria

Simona Jurado Renteria, 99, was born October 2, 1923 in Santa Barbara, Rodeo, Mexico and was called up to be with her Lord & Savior on May 21, 2023 in Houston, Texas. Simona was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. Simona was a woman of great faith, who was a hard worker, and also very generous. After loosing her loving husband, she raised her family. Simona saw that her children and grandchildren received their sacraments. She was a devoted Registered Holy Name Parishioner and also served as, Baptism team member, Disciples in Mission, Guadalupanas, Legion of Mary, Sacred Heart Org., Soup Kitchen Food, and Food Pantry.  She was always participating in all types of spiritual classes, meetings, and parish fundraisers. Simona was at Mass every Sunday, the last mass she celebrated was on May 14, 2023, (Mother's Day). She will be greatly missed by all her family, and Holy Name Parish Community. Simona is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Jurado & Monica Galindo; her brothers, Arturo Jurado, Blas Jurado; her loving husband, Ricardo Renteria; and her son, Raul Renteria. She leaves behind to cherish and treasure her memories her children, Juvenal Renteria & Gloria, Graciela Dimas, Ricardo Renteria, Jr.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; She is also survived by many other relatives and a host of good friends. Simona will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with her.
