Santiago “Jimmy” Garcia, 79, was born on December 23, 1946, in Sugar Land, Texas, and entered eternal rest on March 22, 2026, in Galveston, Texas.
Jimmy was a proud father, grandfather, and veteran who honorably served his country during the Vietnam Era in the United States Army. Known for his sense of humor, he was a jokester at heart and always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He truly enjoyed his retirement, often spending time with friends at the biker bar and tending to his garden. Jimmy took great pride in growing vegetables and generously sharing them with his neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Garcia, Sr. and Maria Rubio; and his siblings, Reynaldo Garcia, Avelino Garcia, Natalia Garcia, Rafaela Rodriguez, Juan Garcia, Braulio Garcia, and Abundio Garcia.
Jimmy leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Janie Cruz; his brother, Felix Garcia, Jr.; his sister, Crisanta Vineyard; his grandchildren, Danielle, Martin, Johnny, and Melissa; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous extended family members and many dear friends.
Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew him and had the privilege of sharing in his life and memories.
