Robert Gonzales Torres

Robert Gonzales Torres passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, at the age of 77.  Robert died peacefully with his beloved wife Consuelo and his family by his side. 

Robert was born in Houston, Texas on February 3, 1946, to Father Francisco Torres and Mother Manuela Gonzales. Second oldest of four.  He loved playing basketball as a teenager but gave up the opportunity to play for the school to work and help his father. His work ethic and desire to take care of his family showed just how dependable he was; he’d give almost anything for his family and friends, he had a giving heart. In 1970 he met Consuelo and they married in 1971. He worked as a mechanic at River Oaks Buick for many years. He then transferred over to Crown where he worked and retired after 35 years due to an accident on April 20, 2006.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Beatrice Torres. He is survived by his wife Consuelo Torres; brother Frank Torres (Mary Torres), sister Alice Leija, children Robert Torres, George Torres (Delmi Torres), Marcus Omar Torres (Annette Torres) and Amy Torres; grandchildren Danielle Torres, Natalie Torres, Alexander Torres, Madison Isabella Lopez, Makenzie Isabella Lopez, Makayla Isabella Torres, Michael Jeremy Torres, Abigail Torres, Cassie Lynne Torres.
