Rachel Hernandez Gallegos, 89, was born November 18, 1933 in Fentress, Texas and entered eternal rest on July 18, 2023 in Houston, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Hernandez & Rosita Figueroa; her loving husband, Joaquin T. Gallegos; her companion, Margarito Hernandez; her son, Sammy Gallegos; her granddaughter, Allison Gallegos; and her grandson, Darren Kennerson. She leaves behind to cherish and treasure her memories her sons, Angelo Gallegos & Veronica, Lee Gallegos & Mara; her daughters, JoAnn Perez & Gonzalo, Mary Ann Flores & Al, Rita Ann Gallegos & Joe; her grandchildren, Raquel, Franzia, Natalie, Amanda, Christina, Jennifer, Samantha, Ashely, Amber, J.T., Xavier, Chito, A.J., Alexa, Ryan, Christopher, Justin L., Justin E., Christian; numerous great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Maria Oreo Gallegos; she is also survived by many other relatives and a host of good friends. Rachel will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with her.

Cremation will take place on a later day.
