Obituary

Pedro "Mr. Pete" Guadalupe Juarez Trevino, 79, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Born on December 12, 1946, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Pedro lived a life marked by profound love, unwavering strength, and steadfast devotion to his family.

Pedro’s legacy is one built upon the foundation of family unity and unconditional love. He gifted those closest to him countless treasured memories, meaningful stories, and invaluable lessons that will endure through generations. He spoke gratefully of the blessings bestowed upon him by God, of the family he held dear, and of the unmatched joy and fulfillment found in a life devoted to those he loved most. In quiet moments with his wife, Emelinda, and their children, he expressed heartfelt contentment—a true reflection of the love and strong bonds he cultivated throughout his years.

Although he rarely said “I love you,” he demonstrated it constantly—through guidance, sacrifice, protection, and presence. His love was felt in the way he provided, corrected, supported, and showed up for his family and others. He was generous to a fault, always willing to help anyone in need without hesitation.  He built a life rooted in unity, respect, and devotion, instilling in his children the responsibility to stay close, support one another, and carry on that bond. He was known for being strict and demanding, but always with intention. His discipline came from a desire to prepare his children for life—teaching them resilience, accountability, and the value of hard work. Many reflect that while they didn’t always understand it at the time, those lessons shaped who they are today. He lived with humility and strength, leading by example. Whether through long hours of work, teaching practical skills, or making personal sacrifices he showed what it meant to be dependable and selfless. He carried pride in his children’s accomplishments and the people they became, even if he didn’t always express it openly. His influence is evident in their character, values, and the way they now live their lives.

Pedro's devotion is also reflected in his family circle. He shared a life of 57 years with his loving wife, Emelinda M. Juarez. Together they raised a wonderful family composed of sons Roger Juarez, Peter Juarez (and wife Jannette), Rocky Juarez (and wife Jessica), and daughters Elizabeth M. Gonzalez (and husband Jesse), Graciela Guadalupe Hernandez (and husband Juan), and Emelinda “Melinda” Celedon (and husband Michael). He also leaves behind his cherished sisters Isabel Sanchez, Aurora Garza, Alicia Gonzalez, Teresa Solis, and Lydia Morales. His legacy flourishes through his numerous grandchildren—Robert, Tony, Jessica, Joshy, Rebecca, Angie, Gabriela, JJ, Isaac, Nicole, Juanito, Jonathan, Grecia, Ricky, Jasmine, Isiah, Lilly, and Sophie—and great-grandchildren: Lexi, Kate, Cora, Jayden, Luna, Emma, Johnny, Kamilla, and Jacob.

Pedro is preceded in death by his sister Guadalupe Ramos.

Pedro Guadalupe Juarez Trevino will be remembered not only for his steadfast commitment to his family but also for the lessons of love, respect, and perseverance he imparted. He was a man who truly lived for those he loved, leaving an indelible mark on all whose lives he touched. His spirit endures in the hearts of his family and friends, inspiring them to carry forward his memory with honor and affection.
