Mirthala Martinez, 82, was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México on July 3, 1931 & was called home to be with her "Lord & Savior" on January 30, 2014. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Juan Manuel Martinez & her Son, Ramon Martinez. Survivors include her Sons, Juan Manuel Martinez Jr. & Dagoberto Martinez; Daughters, Josefina Gutierrez, Sandra Quintanilla, Aracely Martinez & Mirthala Casas; Brothers, Emerico Montemayor, Elias Montemayor & Amador Montemayor; Sisters, Elida Acosta, Lidia Martinez & Expectación Martinez; 23 Grandchildren & 31 Great-Gradchildren. Visitation will begin Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel & Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 3, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel with Fr. Alonzo presiding. Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
