Michael Brian Dominguez, born on October 27, 1984, in Galveston, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, in Rosenberg, Texas. His departure has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He is dearly survived by his beloved father, John Joe Dominguez, who carries forward Michael’s legacy with a heart full of treasured memories. His mother, Patricia Van Pelt, whose unwavering support and affection shaped Michael’s life, mourns his loss profoundly. Michael’s brother, Christian Van Pelt, stands alongside the family, sharing in the grief of a bond severed too soon.
Michael’s circle of loved ones extends to cherished friends and family members including Jennifer Lynn Herrera, Stephanie Marie Critelli, Sarah Renea Blankenship, and Kayla Deann Dominguez, each of whom holds his memory close. He was also deeply loved by his paternal grandmother, Connie Dominguez, and maternal grandmother, Mary Alvarado, both of whom nurtured him with enduring care and affection throughout his life. Michael is survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousin, friends, great nephews and great niece.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on April 11, 2026, at the Compean Funeral Home, located at 2102 Broadway Blvd, Houston, Texas 77012. The gathering will begin with a Celebration of Life ceremony from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM, offering a heartfelt opportunity to honor and remember his remarkable spirit. This will be followed by a visitation from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM, a time for friends and family to come together, find solace, and share stories that keep Michael’s essence alive in their hearts.
Though his physical presence is no longer with us, Michael Brian Dominguez’s light continues to shine brightly in the lives of those who loved him. His memory is an eternal flame of love, resilience, and kindness that will forever inspire all who were blessed to walk alongside him.
May we remember Michael with tenderness and gratitude, holding onto the joy he brought and the lessons he imparted in his beloved journey through life. His spirit remains with us, a beautiful part of our shared humanity, forever cherished and forever missed.
