Mark Leymon Pippin

Mark Leymon Pippin was born in Pasadena, TX on January 28, 1964. He departed on Monday February 6, 2023 at the age of 59. He spent the majority of his life in Houston, TX and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, neighbor, and friend. He was known for his loving spirit, his big bear hugs, and his genuine, caring personality.

Lake Somerville always had a special place in his heart, having spent time there as a child, and later in life taking his own children camping, fishing, and teaching them to swim. Throughout his life he loved visiting the family ranch with his in-laws and sons, where he enjoyed deer hunting and swimming in Devil’s River. He also showed great compassion for animals which he passed on to his daughter.

Mark is survived by his loving wife Araceli Pippin of almost 34 years; lovingly remembered by his three children Eric, Lauren, and Tyler; his son-in-law, Michael; daughter-in-law, Monica; by his five grandchildren, Miloh, Liam, Savannah, Luca, and Rocky; as well as his three brothers Robert Pippin, Darrin Wyatt, and Bobby (Maria) Pippin Jr. He will be dearly missed by his parents: Donna and Grover Nash; and, Bobby and Jennie Pippin. His nieces and many nephews will dearly miss their “Uncle Mark”.

Visitation: Sunday, February 19, 2023

Time: Begins at 10:00am

Funeral Service: 11:30am

Location: Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel

Interment: Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 1pm
