Obituary

In Loving Memory of María Tereza Urrutia

June 20, 1940 – September 16, 2026

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of María Tereza Urrutia, who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on June 20, 1940, in El Salvador, María Tereza was a woman filled with love, joy, and strength. To those who had the blessing of knowing her, she was a ray of sunshine, always smiling, and her smile had a special way of brightening every room she entered.

She shared 49 years of her life with her beloved husband, Francisco Edgar Majano, who preceded her in death in 2016. Together, they built a family whose legacy continues through their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

María Tereza was the mother of 16 children. She is survived by her seven children: Rosa Urrutia Majano, Lorena Urrutia Majano, Daysy Urrutia Majano, Francisco Urrutia Majano, Leila Urrutia Majano, Reina María Urrutia de González, and Nery Fernando Urrutia Majano.

She was preceded in death by her beloved children Luis Urrutia Majano and Carmen Urrutia, and by the precious babies who were taken to heaven before they had the chance to grow up in her arms. Though their time on earth was brief, they were forever loved and remembered.

Her beautiful legacy also continues through her 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, who will carry with them the memories, love, and lessons she placed in their lives.

She is also survived by her brothers Raúl Urrutia and David Urrutia, along with many family members and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

María Tereza left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. Her love for her family, her joy, and especially her beautiful smile will remain forever in our hearts.

“I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.”

— John 11:25

We trust that she is now resting in the arms of the Lord, and that one day there will be a beautiful reunion with those who went before her.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank our family, friends, and loved ones for accompanying us and standing beside our family during this difficult time of loss and farewell.

Forever loved.

Forever remembered

Never forgotten.

Her smile will forever remain a ray of light in our hearts.
