Maria Elia Guajardo, entró en el descanso eterno el 25 de junio de 2025 en Houston, Texas. Nació el 10 de agosto de 1954 en Agualeguas, Nuevo León, México.

Maria Elia fue una esposa, madre, abuela, hermana e hija amorosa y dedicada. Mantuvo un lazo profundo con su madre, a quien solía llamar “su compañera de vida”. Mujer de gran resiliencia, Maria Elia venció valientemente al cáncer, apoyándose en su fe inquebrantable y en el profundo amor hacia su familia, los dos pilares que guiaron su vida.

Tenía un don especial en la cocina, y era conocida por sus deliciosos platillos y hermosos pasteles decorados, que fueron el centro de muchas celebraciones familiares. Su mayor alegría era pasar tiempo con sus hijos y nietos, ya fuera bailando, disfrutando de un paseo a “las maquinitas” o visitando el casino para divertirse un poco.

Maria Elia tenía un corazón generoso y un espíritu alegre. Fue una amiga leal, siempre dispuesta a compartir risas, buenos recuerdos e incluso una o dos margaritas. Como hermana cariñosa, construyó una vida llena de relaciones significativas fundamentadas en el amor, la fe y la amistad.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Jose Angel Jauregui Garza y Petra Saldivar Vela, así como su hermana, Maria Encarnacion Saenz.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo, Dario Guajardo, y sus hijos: Mirelia Madrigal y su esposo Ricardo, Maria Emilia Garcia y su esposo Roger, Roel Rivera y su esposa Amparo, Ruben Guajardo y su esposa Edlin, Mayra Robles y su esposa Samantha, Jesus Guajardo, y Gabriel Guajardo.

También deja con cariño a sus queridos hermanos: Homero Jauregui, Juany Madrigal, Maria Elena Jauregui y America Gracia.

Su legado continúa a través de sus apreciados nietos: Ricardo Jr., Damian, Sophia, Valerie, Aaron, Ruben, Roel III, Leon, Noah, Scarlett, Jesseray, Jose, Carlito, Gabriela, Jesus, Azalea, Aiden y Monico, así como muchos otros familiares y amigos cercanos que la querían profundamente.

Maria Elia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and loving daughter. She held a deep bond with her mother, often calling her “her life companion.” A woman of resilience, Maria Elia bravely overcame cancer, leaning on her unwavering faith and deep love for her family—the two guiding pillars of her life.

She had a special gift in the kitchen and was known for her delicious meals and beautifully decorated cakes, which were the highlight of many family celebrations. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren—whether dancing, enjoying a trip to “las maquinitas,” or visiting the casino for a little fun.

Maria Elia had a generous heart and a joyful spirit. She was a loyal friend, always ready to share laughter, good memories, and even a margarita or two. As a loving sister, she built a life full of meaningful relationships grounded in love, faith, and friendship.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Angel Jauregui Garza and Petra Saldivar Vela, and her sister, Maria Encarnacion Saenz.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dario Guajardo, and her children Mirelia Madrigal and husband Ricardo, Maria Emilia Garcia and husband Roger, Roel Rivera and wife Amparo, Ruben Guajardo and wife Edlin, Mayra Robles and wife Samantha, Jesus Guajardo, and Gabriel Guajardo.

Maria Elia also leaves behind her beloved siblings: Homero Jauregui, Juany Madrigal, Maria Elena Jauregui, and America Gracia.

Her legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren: Ricardo Jr., Damian, Sophia, Valerie, Aaron, Ruben, Roel III, Leon, Noah, Scarlett, Jesseray, Jose, Carlito, Gabriela, Jesus, Azalea, Aiden, and Monico, as well as many other cherished relatives and close friends.

Maria Elia will be remembered for her warmth, strength, generosity, and the countless beautiful memories she created with everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
