María del Carmen Martínez, de 72 años, nació en Monterrey, Nuevo León, México, y partió a la presencia del Señor el 17 de mayo de 2026 en Houston, Texas.

María fue una esposa, madre, abuela, hermana y cuidadora amorosa, cuya vida estuvo centrada en su familia y en su profunda devoción a la Virgen de Guadalupe. Tenía un amor especial por los niños y dedicó gran parte de su vida al cuidado de sus nietos, sobrinos y sobrinas, siempre con cariño y entrega incondicional.

María fue una mujer fuerte y de gran voluntad, que luchó valientemente contra el cáncer durante más de 30 años. A pesar de las dificultades de la vida, siempre permaneció firme en su amor y dedicación hacia sus seres queridos. Disfrutaba cocinar para su familia, cuidar su jardín y sus adoradas plantas, y relajarse viendo sus novelas.

Después de la dolorosa pérdida de su hija Lizeth, María y su esposo Héctor adoptaron amorosamente al hijo de Lizeth, Juan, y lo criaron como suyo. María también cuidó con gran dedicación a su suegra, siempre poniendo las necesidades de los demás antes que las suyas.

María fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres, Alfonso Bosquez y Carmen Bosquez; su amado esposo, Héctor Javier Martínez; y su hija, Lizeth Martínez.

Maria del Carmen Martinez, 72, was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, and entered eternal rest on May 17, 2026, in Houston, Texas.

Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted caregiver whose life centered around her family and her deep faith in La Virgen de Guadalupe. She had a special love for children and devoted much of her life to caring for her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews with endless love and compassion.

Maria was a strong-willed and resilient woman who courageously battled cancer for more than 30 years. Despite life’s hardships, she remained steadfast in her love and dedication to those around her. She found joy in cooking meals for her family, tending to her garden and beloved plants, and relaxing while watching her novelas.

Following the heartbreaking loss of her daughter, Lizeth, Maria and her husband, Hector, lovingly adopted Lizeth’s son, Juan, and raised him as their own. Maria also selflessly cared for her mother-in-law, always placing the needs of her loved ones before her own.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso Bosquez and Carmen Bosquez; her beloved husband, Hector Javier Martinez; and her daughter, Lizeth Martinez.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her sons, Hector Martinez, Javier Alfonso Martinez and wife San Juanita, and Juan Trevino; her daughter, Daisy Martinez; her siblings, Reynold Bosquez and Luz Margarita Caballero; her grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Natalie, Juliana, and Javier; her great-grandchildren, Xavier, Aiden, Luke, and Layla; as well as many other loving family members and a host of dear friends.

Maria will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her and sharing in the many wonderful memories she created throughout her life.
