Manuel Enrique Lopez

On September 10^th 2022, Manuel Enrique Lopez Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of seventy-one.

Manuel is survived by his wife, Maria Calixta López; his sons, Manuel Enrique Jr and his wife Talia, Jairo Francisco and his wife Karly; grandchildren Miguel Angel, Manuel Alessandro, Isabella Marie, and Audrey Jordyn. He was preceded in death by his parents Vicente Lopez and Juana Flores.

Manuel met, fell in love, and married Maria in 1979 in El Salvador. They welcomed their first son Manuel Enrique Jr in 1981 and second son Jairo Francisco in 1990.

He was born June 30th 1951 in Los Portillos, La Union, El Salvador. His favorite pastimes were singing, dancing, playing soccer and spending time with family and friends. Growing up he had a love for soccer which led him to be a key contributor in establishing the local soccer team, El Águila. He served his hometown community by contributing to many charitable causes. He was a devout Catholic, with a passion to serve God and his brothers and sisters in Christ. He was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church choir.

A celebration of life for Manuel Enrique is scheduled for Friday, September 16th at Compean Funeral Home, Houston, TX.

A mass in his honor will be celebrated on September 17th at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Houston, TX. His final resting place will be at Houston Memorial Gardens, Pearland, TX.
