Lillie Diane Tapia, 58, of Houston, Texas, was born on January 25, 1968, in Houston, Texas, and was called to be with her Lord and Savior on February 21, 2026, in Houston, Texas.

Lillie grew up in Magnolia where she formed lifelong memories and friendships. She was a strong-minded woman with a generous heart who found joy in helping others. Lillie deeply loved her family and embraced life fully, always appreciating the good moments it had to offer. She believed in the power of encouragement and affirmations and uplifted those around her with her words and presence. Her message to everyone was simple yet meaningful: “Live for today.”

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Postel (2013); her companion, Javier Quintanilla (1994); and her nephew, Arthur Steven Luna (2015).

Lillie leaves behind a loving and devoted family who will cherish her memory: her son, Javier Quintanilla, Jr.; her daughters, Linda De La Cerda and husband David De La Cerda, Kelly Castillo, and Lucy Quintanilla; her brother, Freddie Postel; her sisters, Frances Daniel and husband Jose Daniel, and Mary Ann Gomez and husband Adolfo Gomez; as well as 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many extended family members and a host of dear friends whom she loved deeply.

Lillie’s strength, warmth, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always.
