Kelvin “Chucky” Hilario Ríos Cruz, de 37 años, nació el 12 de febrero de 1988 en El Salvador y entró al descanso eterno el 19 de agosto de 2025 en Houston, Texas.

Kelvin fue un padre, hijo, hermano, tío y amigo devoto. Hombre de fe y de familia, fue un trabajador incansable, proveedor y de gran corazón generoso. Se desempeñó como despachador en la industria de camiones de dumpe, donde sentía orgullo de trabajar junto a sus tíos. Siempre ambicioso y deseoso de aprender, aprovechaba cada oportunidad que la vida le ofrecía.

Su mayor alegría la encontraba al lado de su hijo, especialmente apoyándolo en el campo de fútbol como su principal admirador. Conocido por ser un orgulloso “niño de mamá”, llamaba a su madre incontables veces al día, reflejando así el lazo inquebrantable que compartían. Kelvin llevaba con orgullo sus raíces salvadoreñas, honrando siempre su cultura y herencia.

Aunque reservado y no siempre expresivo en sus afectos, su familia sabía sin duda que siempre podían contar con él. Su presencia, fortaleza silenciosa y lealtad serán profundamente extrañadas.

Kelvin deja para atesorar su memoria a sus padres, Juan Hilario Ríos y María Lelis Cruz; a su amado hijo, Kelvin Anistasio Ríos; a su abuela materna, Manuela Cruz; a sus hermanas, Brenda Elizabeth Ríos de Peña (Manuel) y Cindy Lucila Ríos (Eric); y a sus sobrinas, Ashley María y Adaly Grace. También lo recuerdan con cariño numerosos tíos, tías, primos y muchos amigos entrañables.

Kelvin was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. A man of faith and family, he was a hardworking provider with a generous heart. He worked as a dispatcher in the dumpster truck industry, where he took pride in working alongside his uncles. Always ambitious and eager to learn, he embraced every opportunity that came his way.

He found his greatest joy in being with his son, especially cheering him on at the soccer field as his biggest supporter. Known as a proud “mama’s boy,” he called his mother countless times throughout the day, a testament to their unbreakable bond. Kelvin carried his Salvadorian heritage with pride, honoring his roots and culture.

Though reserved and not always openly affectionate, his family knew without question that he would always be there for them. His presence, quiet strength, and loyalty will be deeply missed.

Kelvin leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Juan Hilario Rios and Maria Lelis Cruz; his beloved son, Kelvin Anistasio Rios; his maternal grandmother, Manuela Cruz; his sisters, Brenda Elizabeth Rios de Peña (Manuel) and Cindy Lucila Rios (Eric); and his nieces, Ashley Maria and Adaly Grace. He is also remembered fondly by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and many dear friends.
