Jose Manuel Tijerina Sr., 66 of Hargill, TX. Took the hands of his Lord & Savior on March 11, 2014. He was born August 8, 1947 to parents Jose Emanuel Tijerina & Prudenca Solis. Although he was from the Valley, Jose was raised in Rosenberg, TX. He now joins his parents, granddaughter Angelita Perla Lujan & brothers Arturo & Roman with the Angels in Heaven. Jose is survived by his son Jose Emanuel Tijerina; daughter, Carolyn G. Tijerina; grandchildren, Jannet & Ruby Lujan; brothers, Jose Luis Tijerina, Santiago, Arnold, Pablo, Espididion & Mario Solis, & Johnny & Felix Charles & sisters, Noela Tijerina Guzman & Maria Guadalupe Charles.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (9217 E. Ave. L, Houston, TX. 77012) from 5pm-9pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm. A Funeral Mass officiated by Father Patout will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, March 17, 2014 at St. Alphonsus. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
