Jose C. Ortega, 77, was born on June 23, 1942 in  San Luis Potosi, Mexico and was called up to be with his Lord and Savior on May 7, 2020 on Texas City, Texas.  Jose was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He was a hard working man, always thinking about his family.  Jose enjoyed baseball and was a huge fan.  He loved his children and enjoyed spending time with them.  Jose will be dearly missed by all who shared wonderful memories with him.  Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Ortega and Petra Castillo.  He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his companion, Carmen Lopez; his sons, Jose Ortega & wife Alba and Fernando Ortega; his daughters, Rosa Estela Saavedra & husband Antero, Petra Perrette & husband Javier, and Rosio Herrera & husband Silvano; his brothers, Crisoforo Diaz and Estaban Diaz; his sisters, Julia Ortega, Victoria Diaz, Juana Maria Diaz, Amparo Diaz, and Doloros Diaz; his 16 grandchildren; his 19 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
