Jonathan Mathew Espinoza, 19, was born on January 18, 2007, in Mission, Texas, and entered eternal rest on August 29, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Jonathan was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend whose presence brought joy to the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Jonathan was a young man with many dreams and interests. One of his greatest aspirations was to earn his CDL license so that he could drive semi-trucks alongside his cousins, something he looked forward to pursuing. He enjoyed working with his hands, especially fixing four-wheelers, and loved riding bikes and playing video games in his free time.
Jonathan had a special place in his heart for children and truly enjoyed being around them. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family. Family gatherings were especially meaningful to him, and he treasured the laughter, conversations, and memories made with those closest to him. His love for his family and the moments they shared will remain a lasting part of his memory.
Jonathan leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his father, Juan Antonio Cano; his mother, Crystal Rios; his brother, Juan Cano; his sister, Natalie Cano; his maternal grandmother, Yolanda Ortubia and her husband, Mario; his paternal grandparents, Porifio Cano and Olga Santiago Aguierre; his uncles, Juan Rios and Fernando Cano; his aunts, Mireya Rios and her husband, Alejandro Segura, Dora Vielma and her husband, Noe, and Yolanda Mathes and her husband, Scott; as well as numerous cousins, extended family members, and a host of good friends.
Though Jonathan's life was far too brief, the love and memories he shared with his family and friends will continue to live on in their hearts. His dreams, his interests, and the happiness he found in simply being surrounded by those he loved will always be remembered.
Jonathan will be dearly missed by all those who were blessed to know him and share wonderful memories with him.
