Joe Rodriguez, age 73, was born on May 23, 1952, in Sugar Land, Texas, and was called to be with his Lord and Savior on December 12, 2025, in Houston, Texas.

Joe was a devoted husband, family man, and man of deep faith. He shared 53 loving years of marriage with his wife and best friend, Dolores “Dodie” Rodriguez. Together, they built a life grounded in love, prayer, and family. Joe was a true prayer warrior who faithfully prayed each night for his entire family, finding strength and peace in his relationship with God.

Joe had a joyful spirit and a love for life. He was a proud Houston Astros fan and loved to dance—Joe and Dodie were always the first ones on the dance floor, bringing laughter and joy wherever they went. He was deeply protective and caring, always wanting his daughters and granddaughters to call him when they arrived home safely. Joe cherished time with his grandchildren, especially sharing stories from his life and creating memories they will carry forever.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Amador Rodriguez, and his stepfather, Martin C. Martinez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Dolores S. Rodriguez; his mother, Estefana Osorio; his sons, Joe Christopher Rodriguez and David Martin Rodriguez; his daughters, Vicenta Dominga Garcia and husband Jose, Christina Renee Villarreal and husband Adrian, and Christian Nicole Rodriguez; his grandchildren, Israel, Alyssa, Jacob, George, Jocelyn, Miliani, and Nalani; and his great-grandchildren, Melina, Ayla, Jacob, Jr., and Jeremiah.

Joe will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
