Janie S. Barboza, 76, was born on June 14, 1949, in Houston, Texas, and entered eternal rest on February 10, 2026, in her hometown of Houston.
Janie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister whose life was a testament to faith, love, and family. She cherished her role as the heart of her family, always offering wisdom, comfort, and heartfelt prayers to those who sought her guidance. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she lived it daily through kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
She found great joy in cheering on her beloved Houston Astros, preparing home-cooked meals for her grandchildren, and surrounding her family with unconditional love. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness, where countless cherished memories were made.
Janie leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 26 years, German Barboza; her sons, Albert Perez and wife Angelica, and Frank Perez and wife Leonora; her daughters, Maria Martinez and husband Homer Sinfuentes, Laura Garza and husband Rogelio Narvez, and Kimberly Garza; her sister, Ruth Suarez; as well as 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren who were the pride and joy of her life.
Janie will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her, but her love, faith, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
