Inez V. Cortez, 76, was born on July 13, 1943 in San Benito, Texas and was called up to be with his Lord and Savior on May 15, 2020 in Houston, Texas.  Inez was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Epifanio Cortez and Refugia Ventura Cortez; his loving wife of 50 years, Rebecca Cortez; his brothers, Rodolfo Gaona, Jesus Gaona, and Victor Gaona; and his sister, Soila Reina Perez.  Inez leaves behind to cherish his memories, his son, Andre C. Cortez & wife Erica Gonzales- Cortez; his honorary son, Agapito Ortiz; his daughters, Leticia Cortez Mendez & husband Rudolph, Melisa Cortez, and Chriselda Cortez & fiance Ernest Martinez; his brothers, Rogerio Cortez & wife Dolores, Guadalupe Cortez & wife Maria, David Alberto Cortez & wife Joyce, and Rogerio Gil Cortez & wife Irma; his sisters, Rebecca Gaona Barrientos and Carmen Cortez Huerta & husband Paulino; his grandchildren, Veronica Maria Guerrero, Inez P. Guerrero, and Louis Williams; his honorary grandchildren, Alexis Morales, Aubrey Morales, and Aleena Morales; and many other relatives and friends.  Inez will be dearly missed by all who shared wonderful memories with him.
