Gilberto Gonzales, Jr. beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and husband passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, surrounded by God, family, faith, and love.
Gilberto Gonzales, Jr. lived a life marked by strength, devotion, and love. A hardworking man with a generous heart, he gave his days to providing, protecting, and loving his family. To his wife and children, he was a steady foundation—faithful, selfless, and always present in the ways that mattered most. Gilberto was cherished by his wife, Rosa Gonzales and children April, Josh, Abel, Jonathan, Aaron Gonzales as well as sons and daughters Gilberto Gonzales III, Elizabeth and Alicia Gonzales amongst many grandchildren. “Gile” was treasured by his brother’s Richard, wife Nena Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales along with numerous nieces.
Music flowed through Gilberto’s soul. As a lead vocalist in a Tejano band Sangre Viva, his voice carried joy, longing, and hope. Through every song, he shared a piece of himself, leaving behind melodies that now linger as precious memories. Though his voice is quiet here on earth, his song continues—echoing in the hearts of those who loved him and rising heavenward.
We grieve his absence, yet we rest in the promise that love does not end. Gilberto’s strength lives on in his children, his devotion remains wrapped around his family, and his spirit is held in eternal peace. Until we meet again, we trust that he is home—where sorrow is no more, and every song is made whole.
