Frances Treviño, 84, was born on October 16, 1940, in Salinas Victoria, Mexico, and entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
Frances was a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was known for her generous heart, unwavering strength, and deep Catholic faith that guided her throughout life. A woman of patience, compassion, and honesty, she touched the lives of all who knew her.
She found great joy in gardening and planting, often spending her days nurturing both her plants and her family. She cherished reminiscing about the simple, beautiful times in the rancho with her siblings and family. Despite facing many challenges in her early years, Frances persevered with determination and did all she could to support her loved ones.
Frances had a vibrant love for sports—especially baseball and her cherished Houston Astros. She proudly supported her grandchildren, attending countless games and events, always cheering them on with enthusiasm.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was an active member of her church and sang in the choir, joyfully participating in the community as long as she was able. She selflessly stepped away from work to help raise her grandson, Luis Jr., and later played a loving role in raising her great-grandson, Damien.
Even in her final days, Frances demonstrated incredible courage and resilience. Though she endured great pain, her faith never wavered—she entrusted everything to God’s will.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gil Valdez and Maria Morales, and her husband, Mauricio Treviño Rios. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in the hearts of her family: her son, Mauricio Treviño and wife Carmen; her daughter, Georgina T. Pereyra; her grandchildren, Luis Jr. and Michael; her great-grandchildren, Damien, Sebastian, Leylani, Christian, and Milagro; and her siblings, Gil, Lalo, Chuy, Balta, and Angelica.
Frances will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her and will be lovingly remembered for the warmth, strength, and grace she brought into the world.
