Evangelina Ballesteros, age 89, was born on March 15, 1936, in Rodríguez, Coahuila, Mexico, and peacefully entered eternal rest on January 7, 2026, in Houston, Texas.

Evangelina was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched all who knew her, and she was deeply cherished by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor Maldonado and Julia Ibarra; her beloved husband, Esteban Ballesteros; her daughter, Eva “Lily” Ballesteros; her grandson, Marcelo “Ox” Garcia; and her brothers and sisters.

Evangelina leaves behind to honor and cherish her memory her sons, Victor Ballesteros and his wife Karla, and Steven Ballesteros and his wife Adriana; her daughter, Rosa Giannukos and her husband Nalan; her siblings, Victor Maldonado, Juven Maldonado, and Noelia Maldonado; her grandchildren, Erica Garcia, Monica Ballesteros, Victoria Cruz, Nicholas Ballesteros, Melissa Ballesteros, and Laura Ballesteros; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.

Evangelina will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing their lives and memories with her.
