Espetacion S. Gonzales

Espetacion S. Gonzales of Bastrop, Texas joined the Angels in Heaven the afternoon of April 4, 2014. She was 97. Espetacion will now be re-united with her parents Julian Samudio and Rafaela Gonzalez; brothers, Tiodoro Arredondo Sr., Antonio Arredondo, Guadalupe Arredondo, Esteban Arredondo and sisters, Isabel Mares and Patricia Rodriguez.

Espetacion was born with a green thumb, she loved gardening and growing her own little veggies. Dancing was another thing she really liked to do. Always singing to Vicente Fernandez around the house. However, when it came to lunch or dinner trips to her favorite restaurant Golden Corral, that banana pudding was definitely something that she would make sure to have on her tray. She will be forever in our hearts.

Espetacion is survived by her son, Rito S. Llamas and wife Renee; daughter, Rafaela A. Rivera; 5 grandchildren, Michael Rivera and wife Lori, Diana Louise Rivera, Samantha Llamas, Analisa Llamas and Rito David Llamas; 4 great-grandchildren, Bryan Mathew Rivera, Jacob Aaron Rivera, Taylor Nicole Rivera and Jeremy Rivera along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

A visitation will be held for Espetacion on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 3pm-9pm with a Rosary to be recited by Deacon Tom at 7:15pm in the Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11am at St. Dominic Church (8215 Reservoir St., Houston, TX. 77049) A finial visitation will be held at the church 30 minutes prior to the above scheduled Mass time. Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
