Obituary

Esperanza Santos de Rendon, 88, was born January 2, 1938 in Anahuac, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and was called up to be with her Lord & Savior on October 7, 2026 in Houston, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Our mom was an amazing human being with a kind heart. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she poured her heart and soul into being a dedicated and loving mother. Our mom was a fierce protector of her family, teaching her children the values of respect, integrity, and resilience. She was a natural mentor and a source of boundless wisdom, leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and faith that will guide us for generations. All her children are successful and have a great life now because of her. Our mom’s passions were cooking, dancing, watching her favorite telenovelas and loving her kids unconditionally. We will always remember the great tacos, the amazing enchiladas she made for us. And, the most delicious tamales she and our dad made during the Christmas holidays. Before immigrating to the United States, Esperanza worked as an accountant for Banco Agricola in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico. This is where she met the love of her life, Manuel Rendon. They wed in 1957 and shared a beautiful life together until our dad's passing in 2022.

Esperanza is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Rendon, her parents, Joaquin Santos and Maria De Jesus Santos, her siblings, Manuel Santos Santos, Enrique Santos Santos, Aurora Santos Santos, Elvira Santos Santos, Rosa Santos Santos and Alfredo Santos Santos.

She leaves behind to cherish and treasure her memories her children, Victor M. Rendon & wife, Juan A. Rendon & wife; Maribel Martinez, Hector A. Rendon, Carlos A. Rendon & wife; Jose A. Rendon & wife; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Juan Santos Santos and Angel Santos Santos. She is also survived by many other relatives and a host of good friends.

Esperanza will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with her.
