Elizardo Hernandez

Elizardo “Chayo” Hernandez, 72, born on March 21, 1942 in Brownsville, Texas, was called home to be

with his “Lord & Savior” on January 19, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita “Janie”

Hernandez, parents Elizardo & Maria Picazo Hernandez and sister Leticia Hernandez. He is survived by

his sons Raymond Hernandez (Patricia), & Elizardo Hernandez, Jr.; daughters Cindy Alvarado & Mary

Ellen Melchor (Daniel); Brothers Reymundo Hernandez & Arturo Hernandez; 10 grandchildren & 12

great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 3:00-9:00 p.m. at Compean Funeral Home

Main Chapel with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, January 27,

2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m., Buena Vista

Cemetery, Brownsville, Texas.
