Elizabeth Reyna, 65, was born on November 8, 1960, in Houston, Texas, and entered eternal rest on August 10, 2026, in Houston, Texas.

Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was deeply loved by her family and friends, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas Reyna and Alicia Vela; her beloved son, Michael Lee Vargas; and her nephew, Desi Vela.

Elizabeth leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her husband, John Gutierrez; her children, Sixto Vargas III, Joseph Vargas, Thomas Vargas,  Crystal Ann Vargas and husband Paul, Evon Marie Vargas, Amy Gutierrez, Christy Donato, Daniel Martinez, Anthony Gutierrez, Stephanie Gutierrez, and Jazzlynn E. Rawis; her dad, Domingo Vela; her brothers, Ruben Vela, Danny Vela, and Domingo Vela; her sisters, Sara Rolon and Maria Vela; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many other loving family members and a host of dear friends.

Elizabeth's life will be remembered through the love she shared, the family she cherished, and the many wonderful memories she leaves behind. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
