Edward "Eddie" Pallanez

October 9, 1946 — May 7, 2026

Edward "Eddie" Pallanez, 79, proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era, carrying with him a deep sense of patriotism, strength, and dedication throughout his life. His military service reflected the courage and commitment that would continue to define the man he was to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Following his years of service, Eddie built a long and respected career as a skilled carpet installer, dedicating many years of hard work to River Oaks Carpet and Superior Rugs. Known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and craftsmanship, Eddie took great pride in providing for his family and earning the respect of those he worked alongside. He believed in the value of honest work and carried himself with humility and integrity in all that he did.

Outside of work, Eddie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course, shooting pool with friends, and cheering passionately for his favorite football teams as an avid sports fan. Whether watching a game, sharing stories with loved ones, or enjoying laughter among friends, Eddie had a way of making those around him feel welcomed and appreciated. His warm spirit, sense of humor, and loyal friendship left lasting impressions on many lives.

Above all else, Eddie’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was his family. He treasured every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and close friends. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose love, guidance, and presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Eddie valued family deeply and never missed an opportunity to offer support, encouragement, or simply enjoy being surrounded by the people he loved most.

Eddie is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lydia Gutierrez; his parents, Tomas Moreno Pallanez and Felicitas “Faye” Reyes Pallanez; his brothers, Richard R. Pallanez, Sr., Jonny R. Pallanez, Frank Pallanez, and Guillermo “Will” Pallanez; his sisters, Delia P. Hernandez, Percilla Pallanez, and Martha P. Marron; and his step-son, Juan “Johnny” Gutierrez.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving sons, Edward Pallanez and Shaun Eduardo Pallanez and wife Tiffany Amber; his step-daughter, Michelle Gutierrez; his brothers, Thomas Pallanez and wife Cathy, Raynaldo Pallanez, and Larry Joe Pallanez; his sisters, Ernestina P. Trevino and husband Steve, Amelia P. Lopez and husband Alex, Mary P. Nunez and husband Cesar, and Elvira Pallanez; his beloved grandson, Shaun Eduardo Pallanez, Jr.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, lifelong friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and love.

Eddie’s legacy is one of service, perseverance, loyalty, and unconditional love for his family. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on through the many lives he touched, the stories shared, and the love he gave so freely. His family finds comfort in knowing that his spirit, strength, and devotion will never be forgotten.
