Cristina Castillo, 46, of Houston, Texas, was born on January 15, 1979, and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 14, 2025, in Houston, Texas.

Cristina was a beautiful soul — kind, loving, and always ready to lend a helping hand. She had a heart that cared deeply for others and never hesitated to put everyone before herself. Cristina loved to cook and found joy in feeding her family and friends. Her meals weren’t just delicious; they were made with love and brought everyone together.

To those who knew her, Cristina was more than just a friend or relative — she was like a mom to everyone. She had a special gift for making people feel welcome, loved, and supported. No matter the time or place, Cristina was always there to listen, comfort, and care. Her warmth could fill any room, and her laughter brought light to even the darkest days.

Cristina is preceded in death by her beloved son, Manuel Barrera III, and her brother, Jorge Castillo. She is survived by her loving parents, Juventino and Cecelia Castillo; her daughter, Blue Angel Barrera; her sons, David Barrera and Jay Castillo; her brothers, Juventino Castillo, Jr. and Sergio Castillo; her sister, Leticia Castillo; and her precious grandchildren, Janett Castillo and Ivy Castillo.

She also leaves behind many other family members and a host of close friends who will miss her dearly. Cristina’s love was endless, her heart was pure, and her spirit will live on forever in all those who were blessed to know her.
