Clemente Pérez, 77, a resident of Houston, TX, departed this earthly life on June 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Clemente was born on December 17, 1947, in Concepción del Oro, Zacatecas, son of Clara Pérez. Upon arriving in the United States, he found his calling working with his hands as a welder. He was a proud member of the Pipefitters Union throughout his career until his passing.
Since childhood, Clemente was free-spirited and stubborn, always doing whatever he wanted—until he no longer could. With his strong character, he always spoke his mind without holding back. Despite his tough exterior, Clemente had a deep love for his son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, sisters, and his entire family—always showing his affection by grilling his famous carne asada for them. He fondly remembered his relatives in Mexico and Temple, TX, even from afar.
He is survived by his son, Roberto Pérez, and daughter-in-law Jazmín Pérez; his three beloved grandchildren, Roberto, Juliette, and Valentino; his sisters, Maria (Cuca) Pérez and Maria (Elia) Merino; and his nieces, Rocío, Claryssa, Norma Isela, Nelly, Thelma, and Dalia.
We will remember him for his strong character, which lives on in his family—and as the man who was never without his twelve-pack of beer wherever he went. We will always love him, and he will live forever in our hearts.
Clemente, wherever you are, may you rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon you.
