Obituary

Clemencia Trejo, 88, was born on February 25, 1938, in Houston, Texas, and entered eternal rest on October 30, 2026, in Katy, Texas.

Clemencia was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished sister, and dear friend to many. She was a woman full of life, laughter, love, and unwavering faith. Her joyful spirit, wonderful sense of humor, and deep devotion to her family made her truly unforgettable to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A true Houston Astros fanatic, Clemencia loved cheering on her favorite team. One of her most treasured memories was having the opportunity to attend a game during the historic 2017 World Series alongside her granddaughter. It was a special experience that brought her immense joy and became a cherished memory for them both.

Clemencia also had a lifelong passion for dancing, especially to cumbias and polkas. Some of her happiest moments were spent on the dance floor with her beloved husband, John, who was the love of her life. Together, they shared over 50 beautiful years of love, companionship, and countless memories. The two were inseparable, always enjoying life's moments side by side.

Known for her generous spirit and willingness to help others, Clemencia dedicated much of her time to volunteering and was proudly recognized as "Volunteer of the Year." She especially enjoyed serving coffee to the elderly, often humorously announcing, "I'm going to serve the old people," even when she herself was already in her seventies. It was this playful personality and lighthearted humor that made Clemencia so special. She always found a way to bring laughter to those around her, and even in her final days, when words were no longer needed, she continued making jokes and expressing her humor through her eyes.

Throughout her life, Clemencia remained strong and devoted in her faith, finding comfort, strength, and guidance in her relationship with God. Her faith was an important part of who she was and remained a constant presence throughout her journey.

Above all else, Clemencia's greatest pride and joy was her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She treasured every moment spent with them and had a special place in her heart for each of her beloved grandbabies. Clemencia had her own unique way of showing love, but those who knew her understood just how deeply she cared. Whether through her laughter, her playful jokes, her dancing, or simply being present, she created beautiful memories that her family will carry with them forever.

She was preceded in eternal rest by her beloved husband of over 50 years, John G. Trejo, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her sons, Richard Trejo, James Trejo, and Jesse Trejo and his wife, Maria Vargas; her daughter, Veronica Davidson and her husband, Edward R. Davidson; her grandchildren, Angelique, Reynaldo, Diana Michelle, and Carmen; her great-grandchildren, Demitri, Meagan, Selah, Ellie, Chloe, and Everli; her brother, George Sanchez; her sister, Mary Carolyn Morales; as well as many other loving family members and a host of dear friends.

Clemencia's life was a beautiful reflection of love, faith, strength, and laughter. She taught those around her the importance of enjoying life's simple pleasures and finding reasons to smile. Although her presence will be deeply missed, her joyful spirit, unforgettable humor, and unconditional love will continue to live on through the countless memories she leaves behind.

Clemencia will forever be remembered with love, deeply missed beyond words, and cherished in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. May she now rest in eternal peace, reunited with the love of her life, dancing together once again.
