Catalina Salazar Sanchez, 100, went home to rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 13, 2021. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Catalina was born on March 22, 1920, in Parras, Mexico to Luis and Delfina Salazar. At a young age her family moved to The United States and lived in Waelder, Texas. On December 19, 1935, she married Lee Sanchez and together they raised six sons, Alfredo, Lionel, Thomas, Lee, Johnny and Rudy, and two daughters, Anita and Delia.

Catalina had a passion for being outdoors, tending to her bright flowers, bird watching on the patio and seeing the squirrels look for the peanuts her and Delia would hide in the trees. She enjoyed her country road trips and her frequent casino trips. Catalina loved being pampered by getting manicures & pedicures, getting dressed up to go out to eat and to visit her children. She had a beautiful, loving soul and adored her children and grandchildren endlessly. Catalina was preceded in death by her father, Luis, her mother Delfina, her husband Lee and their two sons, Alfredo, Thomas. She is survived by her children Lionel, Lee, Johnny, Rudy, Anita and Delia along with many beloved grandchildren.
