Berthelia "Birdie" Peña, 68, was born on May 19, 1952 in Houston, Texas and was called up to be with her Lord and Savior on June 10, 2020 in Webster, Texas.  Birdie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Martinez and Santos Hernandez; and her brother, Manuel Martinez.  birdie leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 44 years, Johnnie Peña; her children, Melinda Garcia & husband Jose Valles, Mario Garcia, Jr., Mark Garcia & wife Arlene, Roxie Peña & husband Xavier Urrabazo, and Johnnie Peña; her siblings, Mary Rose Garcia and Richard Martinez, Jr.; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Priscilla, Jose, Alexander, Joshua, Ashlyn, and Karrissa; her great grandchildren, Jay, Andrea, Selena, Layla, Jose, Jayden, Zachary, and Jacob; and many other relatives and friends.  Birdie will be greatly missed by all who shared wonderful memories with her.

Time: 3:00pm - 9:00pm

Service: 7:00pm

Location: Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel

Cremation will take place on a later date.
