He is survived by his wife, Iris Hernandez; son, Joel Ernesto Hernandez; daughters, Catalina Celestina Hernandez and Idalia Angelica Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 2pm at 5317 Rapido Rd., Houston, Texas 77033. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11am in Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery (2624 Cullen Blvd., Pearland, Texas 77581).
