With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ann Marie Garcia, who entered eternal rest on May 23, 2026, in Pasadena, Texas, at the age of 57. Born on December 3, 1968, in Houston, Texas, Ann lived a life filled with love, laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Ann was a proud mother of five children and a cherished grandmother to ten beloved grandchildren, who were the light of her life. No matter how many hours she worked, her children always came first. She dedicated her life to providing for her family while making sure they always felt loved, supported, and cared for.
A hardworking and determined woman, Ann retired as a Store Manager for Family Dollar after many years of dedicated service. She was respected for her strong work ethic, leadership, and willingness to help anyone in need. Ann had a generous heart and was known for giving even when it meant going without herself.
To those who knew her, Ann was the life of the party. She had a contagious laugh, a playful sense of humor, and was always ready with a joke. She loved to dance, especially showing off her twerking skills, and could instantly brighten any room she entered. Her favorite drink was a margarita, and nothing got her moving quite like Tejano music or a Bruno Mars song.
Ann welcomed everyone with open arms and became a wonderful bonus mom and grandma to many who were fortunate enough to know her. She offered wisdom, encouragement, and heartfelt advice whenever it was needed. Her home was a place of comfort, filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious aroma of her cooking. She loved preparing each of her children's favorite meals and took great joy in gathering her family around the table.
Christmas was Ann's favorite holiday, and she made every season magical for those she loved. She was affectionately known as the "Snack Queen," always making sure everyone had something to enjoy. She treasured staying connected with family and friends, often using Alexa to call and check in on loved ones. Her thoughtful nature extended to her brother, Oscar Garcia, whom she lovingly reminded of important dates and special occasions so he would never forget.
Above all, Ann's greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She loved each of them deeply and unconditionally, creating countless memories that will be cherished forever.
Ann is survived by her sons, Joseph Garcia and wife Stacia Joy, Fernando Perez, and Luciano Perez, Jr.; her daughters, Christina Perez and Angelina Perez Mendoza and husband Bruce; her brother, Oscar Garcia and wife Josie; her nephews, Jacob and Denzel; her niece, Makayla; and her beloved grandchildren, J.J., James, JoJo, Amelia, Lamb Chop, Belinda, Easton, Aaryan, Santiago, and Lucia. She also leaves behind numerous extended family members, dear friends, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness, humor, and love.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, generosity, laughter, and family devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Forever loved, forever remembered, forever missed.
