Alfred P. Jasso, Jr., age 79, was born on March 25, 1946, in Houston, Texas, and entered eternal rest on August 17, 2025, in his hometown.
Alfred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend — a man of quiet strength and radiant warmth who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, carrying with him a lifelong sense of duty, honor, and integrity. These values shaped the way he lived and loved — with humility, courage, and deep compassion.
To those who had the privilege of knowing him, Alfred’s kindness was unmistakable. He had a signature smile that could light up a room and a sense of humor that lifted spirits wherever he went. His laughter was infectious, his playful spirit endearing, and his generosity knew no bounds.
Whether through a warm embrace, a clever joke, or his steady presence, Alfred had a rare and beautiful gift: he made people feel seen, valued, and truly loved. He formed unique, lasting bonds with those around him — touching hearts with his unwavering support and compassion.
Alfred didn’t just live a good life — he made life better for everyone around him. His love was constant, his joy contagious, and his legacy unforgettable.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Jasso, Sr. and Enedina Jasso; his sisters, Janie Miqueli and Blanca Jasso; and his brother, Martin Jasso.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 41 years, Josefa D. Jasso; his children, Alfred Jasso III and wife Alaina, and daughter Tanya "Pumpkin" Jasso; his brother, Lawrence Jasso; and his grandchildren: Thomas, Ryan, Judah, Murron, and Samuel. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends.
Alfred will be remembered always — for his laughter, his love, and the countless memories he leaves behind in the hearts of those who loved him.
