1957 - 2017

Steve Caballero, 60, was born on March 11, 1957 in Houston, Texas and was called up to be with his Lord and Savior on October 19, 2017 in Houston, Texas.  Steve was a loving father to 10 children, 14 grandchildren and still more to come. Steve is preceded in death by his father, Panfilo Caballero, Sr.  He is survived by his mother, Felipa Macias & husband Leopoldo Gomez; his sons, Steve Caballero, Jr., Adam Christopher Caballero, John Anthony Caballero, and Daniel Ray Caballero; his daughters, Mercy Beth Caballero, Angel Beth Caballero, Elizabeth Caballero, Christina Beth Caballero, Jessemia Beth Caballero, and Lorrie Beth Caballero; his brothers, Panfilo Caballero, Jr. and Raymond Caballero; his sisters, Yolanda Caballero, Nancy Estrada, Josephine Seanz, Monica Caballero, Christina Caballero, and Enedelia Caballero Herron; and his grandchildren, Mercedes Caballero, Brandon R. Lopez, Aidan Lopez, Jaylen Gonzales, Keano Gonzales, Isaiah Caballero, Mateo Caballero, Aztlan Rosales, Josette Rosales, Necalli Rosales, Nicolas Ruiz, Naia Ruiz, Brianna Trevino-Caballero, and Ayola Caballero.  Steve will be greatly missed by all who shared wonderful memories with him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 5:00pm  to 9:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm at the Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (9712 E. Avenue L, Houston, Texas 77012).  Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
