Jose Juan Gutierrez was born on May 22, 1931 in Doctor Gonzalez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to his parents, Jose Juan Gutierrez and Amalia Gutierrez. Jose was called Home with his Lord and Savior on January 4, 2018 in Houston, Texas while being surrounded by all of his loving family. Jose Juan is survived by his loving wife, Candelaria Gutierrez, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage; his son, Juan Antonio Gutierrez; his daughters, Maria Rosa Lozano & husband Rodolfo, Maria Angelica Kelley, Ana Sylvia Rodriguez & husband Bartolo Jr., and Belinda Hernandez & husband Hilario Jr.; his brothers, Reymundo Gutierrez and Salome Gutierrez; his sisters, Josefina Montemayor, Francisca Martinez, Maria Elena Gutierrez, and Amalia Antonia Garza; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and many more relatives. Jose will be dearly missed by all of those who shared with him in life.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm with a Rosary being recited at 6pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel.

The family of Mr.Gutierrez would kindly appreciate flower arrangements; or in lieu of flowers, they have asked to make a donation to the following organizations:

    Tio Juanito, May God have you sitting besides him. You will be sorely missed. I know mi tia n my cousins wil most definitely miss you. But I know my mother Josefina will miss you dearly. May God have you in his glory. My deepest condolences to all the family. My prayers are with all if you.

    Mr. Gutierrez was one of the finest men I ever met. He was totally devoted to his wonderful family. I consider it a great privilege and honor to have known him.
